As an interior designer, I am both an artist and a project manager.  I link arms with clients to bring my expertise and my eye for design to each project.  My goal is to understand your hopes for the project and to help you bring them to life with excellence and style.

I aim to make the process as stress-free for you as possible.  I have experience working with contractors on large renovations as well as experience managing small interior design makeovers alone.  I enjoy both large and small design projects. The ideal client for Canvas & Light Interiors is someone who values the unique artistic vision I bring to a project and who also values high-quality furniture and finishes.

I begin each design project by listening to my clients, taking careful notes, and learning their likes, dislikes, and needs.  Both beauty and function are considered with every interior design project I work on! 

I do a site-measure and photograph each space.  I very much enjoy space planning and love the challenge of creating floor plans, whether that means drafting where walls will go in an unfinished space, choosing where cabinetry will go in a new kitchen, or deciding upon the optimal placement of furniture in a living room. 

After floor plans are decided upon, I’ll create a mood board that illustrates the design direction I envision for the project.  I present this to clients, and upon receiving feedback, I revise the mood board until clients are excited about each element of the design vision, and then I move forward with sourcing.

I source high-quality products for clients and present them together visually on a design board.  This could include any or all of the following: furniture, kitchen cabinetry, countertops, tile, window treatments, hardware, rugs, paint colors, fabrics, flooring materials, light fixtures/lamps, faucets, bathroom vanities, art, mirrors, bedding, accessories, etc.  I’ll gather samples for clients whenever possible.  Once all of the selected items are approved and paid for, I am able to manage the ordering and installation of whatever is needed.  I love seeing a project through from start to finish!  I’ll end by putting everything in place and handing off a fully decorated, gorgeous space to clients.
